The role would be office based for most of the time with some site visits and you would report to a senior QS/Estimator and be responsible for all commercial tasks from tender stage to final account on live projects.
Ideally you will have between 2 and 5 years’ experience with a main contractor or a subcontractor.
Obviously, this role would suit a QS living in the Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny area or a QS in Dublin looking to relocate closer to home.
Duties- Assist in the management of the commercial and contractual requirements through the lifecycle of the project.
- Assist with tendering/estimating.
- Project Procurement including Sub-contractors.
- Conduct cost and risk analysis.
- Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors.
- Assist with project costing, margin & cashflow reports.
- Assist with project change order procedures and agree costs with client.
- Provide monthly valuations and certs.
- Assist in agreeing final accounts.
A relevant third level degree qualification in Quantity surveying or Construction Management.
2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Must be commercially & contractually aware.
Ambitious and committed to deliver an excellent standard of work.
Main Contractor/Sub Contractor/Specialist construction engineering experience.
