Physician, Neurologist

Overview

Maine Health– Pen Bay Hospital has an immediate full-time opening for a board certified/eligible adult neurologist to join our well-established neurology division. The new team member will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned neurologists in beautiful coastal Maine. This position is primarily outpatient and shares an inpatient role among the group; it requires a call schedule and includes tele-stroke backup.

The patient panel is general adult neurology in a diverse older population.

• Provide outpatient neurology care and participate in inpatient coverage as part of a collaborative neurology team.
• Maintain a call schedule and provide tele-stroke backup as needed.
• Deliver high-quality patient-centered care with attention to detail and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture within the division and uphold a commitment to putting patients first.

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted State of Maine medical license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Board Certification/Eligibility.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• EMR experience preferred but not required.
