Ed Tech III

Overview

Educational Technician III — Fayette Central has an opening for an Ed Tech III. FCS is a small rural elementary school in Fayette, ME, located approximately 15 miles west of Augusta. We have a population of approximately 65 students. This is a full-time, school-year position with benefits.

• Provide direct instructional support to students with IEPs in individual, small-group, and classroom settings
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies as outlined in students’ IEPs
• Support students with academic tasks, social skills, communication, and behavior regulation
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring related to IEP goals
• Follow behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support positive behavior strategies
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
• Maintain student confidentiality and comply with all special education laws and district policies
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

• Ed Tech III certification (or eligibility) as required by the state
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Ability to follow instructional plans and take direction from certified staff
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners
