Yarmouth Elementary School, which serves students in grades 2 through 5, is seeking two passionate and dedicated Fifth Grade Teachers to join our team beginning the 2026-27 school year. Fifth-grade teachers are part of a two-person teaching team. Teachers share instructional responsibilities in literacy, math, science, and social studies.

• Design and implement a rigorous and engaging curriculum aligned with state and district standards.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student success and well-being. A background in Responsive Classroom is a plus.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with varying academic abilities and learning styles.
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to create a strong home-school connection.
• Support students' social-emotional learning and promote positive behavior support strategies.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.
• Organize and lead engaging classroom activities, field trips, and special projects to enhance learning experiences.
