An exciting contract opportunity is available for skilled Special Education Teachers to support a high school caseload in an Extended School Year (ESY) program. This is an in-person position with two current openings, perfect for educators eager to make a difference this summer.

Enjoy a focused schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 8:00am - 12:00pm, totaling four hours each day. As a member of the ESY team, you will help provide meaningful summer instruction and support to high school students, ensuring continuity of learning in a supportive, positive environment.

Key

Qualifications:

• Valid Maine Special Education (SPED) teaching license is required
• Previous experience working with high school students in special education settings is preferred
• Familiarity with IEPs and adaptive instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexible and committed to student success

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
• Monitor student progress and complete required documentation
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student services
