Job Description

This position provides logistical support and coordination, team facilitation, and participation in the planning, management, and reporting for large (>$1M) multi-institutional, collaborative EPSCoR projects. This work will include the development, use, and analysis of various systems and platforms to ensure successful project outcomes and effective collaborations across participants. Given EPSCoR grants include significant workforce development components, this position will also develop and implement strategies for enhancing related Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and workforce development at the K-12, community college, undergraduate, and graduate levels.

Typical hiring range for this soft-money funded position is $55,000 to $65,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • A BS degree in a relevant field.
  • At least one to three years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical writing background.
  • General understanding of university research endeavors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills evident while working with diverse audiences that include program officers, faculty, students, evaluators, external board members.
  • Ability to analyze and comply with complex federal program guidance.
Desired (Preferred)

Skills:
  • A graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • The ability to work effectively with complex research teams across universities.
  • Project management certificate.
  • Experience with grant writing and funding.
  • Experience with National Science Foundation.
  • Experience with publishing layout and design software.
  • Ability to work independently while managing complex projects with competing deadlines.
