MS Anticipated Math and Science Teacher
Bruce M. Whittier Middle School is seeking a dedicated and student‑centered 8th Grade Math and Science Teacher to join our middle school team. The position is part of a two‑person team, and the teacher will teach math and science to the same group of about 45 students.
QualificationsCandidates must hold current Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification.
DescriptionThe ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, encourage strong mathematical reasoning and scientific thinking skills, and build student confidence through engaging, hands‑on learning experiences that support academic growth for all learners. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of middle school math and science content, along with effective instructional practices that promote inquiry, problem‑solving, and critical thinking.
