Camden Hills Regional High School, a state-of-the-art energy efficient facility that includes a wind turbine and solar panels, serves approximately 700 students in grades 9 – 12. Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced math teacher who is committed to student success, comfortable with technology, possesses a spirit of collaboration, and seeks to continuously improve their practice. An ideal candidate has a history of providing engaging, student-centered instruction, thrives in an environment with high standards, is curious about creating a more equitable and inclusive culture, and can contribute to the strength of our school and community.
Previous high school experience and background in mathematics, experiential, place-based, and/or project-based learning is desired.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons in the subjects of Algebra 1 and Geometry.
- Contribute to a project-based learning environment.
- Manage classroom dynamics, ensuring a productive and respectful learning environment.
- Evaluate student progress and adapt instruction to meet student needs.
- Effectively communicate with students, peers, parents, and administrators.
- Possess knowledge of the diverse ways in which students learn and develop.
- Ability to engage with students, home, school, colleagues, and the community to support student learning and wellbeing.
- Adapt to student needs.
- Background check, including fingerprinting.
- Maine Department of Education Certification 300 Teacher
- Mathematics (Grades 7-12).
- Salary depends on experience;
Teacher Scale starts at $52,686 (step B
