(K-12 Certified) The Lisbon School Department is seeking a highly qualified, certified High School Music Teacher to begin the 2026/2027 school year. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the district music department and be student-centered with strong knowledge of content, including best practices in music instruction, standards-based assessment, and technology use in instruction. They will support the mission of the school department, create unique and engaging music elective courses, and facilitate middle school and high school band and chorus ensembles after school for an additional stipend.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the district music department.
- Maintain student-centered teaching practices.
- Demonstrate strong content knowledge and best practices in music instruction.
- Utilize standards‑based assessment and technology in instruction.
- Create and deliver unique and engaging music elective courses.
- Facilitate middle school and high school band and chorus ensembles after school.
- Maine State Teacher’s Certification with Music Endorsement 614.
- Previous experience preferred.
