The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent qualified candidates for the position of Special Education Teacher to work with students with behavioral needs at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School
.

Candidates must hold a valid Maine certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsement(s) (#286 or 282).

Reports to: Building Principal/Director of Student Services

Work Schedule: 180 Day Contract

Salary: $46,012.50 - $81,329.34 (SY26/27) - note additional stipends for Special Education teachers*.

* In addition to the base salaries above, Special Education positions receive the following annual supplemental stipends:

  • Day Treatment Teachers - $4,500
  • Functional Life Skills Teachers - $4,400
  • Social Skills Teachers - $3,400
  • Resource Room Teachers - $2,000
  • Social Workers - $4,450
  • Applied Academics Teachers - $4,000

MSAD #17 offers a robust employee benefits package for full-time employees, including: health insurance with 80% of the premium paid by the employer (with up to 100% if both spouses work in the district); dental, vision, Group Life Insurance; flexible spending and dependent care accounts;
Maine Public Employee Pension, 403(b) retirement plan eligibility; 15 paid sick days per year; and tuition reimbursement.
