Position Overview
The High School Athletic Director and Assistant Principal provide leadership for the district's co-curricular and extracurricular programs and support the High School Principal in managing and supervising the school's educational programs. As the primary administrator for student activities and athletics, this position promotes student development through co‑ and extracurricular programming aligned with the district's Vision Statement. This role also oversees middle school sports programming in collaboration with the middle school Assistant Principal/ Athletic Director to ensure alignment and continuity across the 6–12 athletic experience.
In a secondary capacity, the position assists the Principal in fostering a safe, respectful, and high‑achieving learning environment for all students. The role requires strong relationship‑building skills with students, staff, parents, and community partners.

Qualifications- Master’s degree in education preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in public education, including experience as a classroom teacher
- Successful experience in a leadership role in either education or business
- Demonstrated knowledge of current interscholastic athletics philosophy, organization, programs, and related legal issues
- Demonstrated ability working with high school‑age students and parents
- Excellent oral, written, and digital communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle a variety of responsibilities
- Philosophy compatible with the school district’s vision for inclusive and innovative education
