Special Education Teacher – Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School

The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent qualified candidates for the position of Special Education Teacher to work with students with behavioral needs at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Candidates must hold a valid Maine certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsement(s) (#286 or 282).

Reports to:

Building Principal/Director of Student Services.

180 Day Contract.

Salary range: $46,012.50 - $81,329.34 (SY26/27). Additional stipends apply.

• Day Treatment Teachers – $4,500
• Functional Life Skills Teachers – $4,400
• Social Skills Teachers – $3,400
• Resource Room Teachers – $2,000
• Social Workers – $4,450
• Applied Academics Teachers – $4,000

• Deliver strong literacy instruction across content areas.
• Help students develop skills to apply, interpret, analyze, and evaluate the vast, ever‑expanding amount of information.
• Employ effective lesson design by adjusting to students' personal learning needs and preferences, including appropriate technology applications.
