School Counselor (Long Term Substitute, August – October 2026)
The Lisbon School Department seeks an experienced educational leader to serve as a long‑term substitute school counselor at Lisbon Community School. The role requires a demonstrated record of working at the elementary level and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, establish positive relationships with students, maintain behavioral standards, and support small group or individual counseling as needed.
Responsibilities- Collaborate within and among teams to support students and school operations.
- Establish positive relationships with students.
- Maintain standards of student behavior necessary for a supportive learning environment.
- Work effectively with small groups and individuals as required.
- Perform other school‑related tasks assigned by administration.
- Knowledge of and experience supporting individuals or small groups with ACES.
- Bachelor’s degree and Maine certification in Mental Health, Social Work, or Maine School Counseling (075).
- CHRC approval.
