Position Overview
Berwick Academy, a PK‑12 coeducational day school located in Southern Maine, seeks a Middle School Art Teacher. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching Middle School students and be flexible working with students aged 10 to 14. Candidates should demonstrate a keen understanding of developmental needs and a degree in fine arts or art education.
Responsibilities- Teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade art classes.
- Assist with student advising and co‑curricular activities.
- Experience teaching Middle School students.
- Experience working with students aged 10‑14.
- Degree in fine arts or art education.
- Evidence of exceptional teaching and developmental understanding.
- Collaborative teaching approach and instructional leadership among peers.
Position begins in the 2026‑27 academic year.
