Job GoalThe Interventionist is responsible for providing targeted academic or behavioral support to students, typically in small groups or one‑on‑one settings. They reinforce classroom instruction, implement specialized intervention plans (such as for literacy or math), collect progress‑monitoring data, and assist with behavioral management to help students meet learning goals.

Job Description
The suitable candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing academic interventions within the MTSS framework. The position requires flexibility, collaboration, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to support student learning and achievement.
Essential Functions- Works with individuals or small groups of students to provide instructional, intervention and assessment support.
- Deliver specialized, pre‑planned interventions to small groups or individual students outside or within the general classroom.
- Supports students with accommodations and/or modifications.
- Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the teacher(s).
- Monitor student progress, maintain records of interventions and collect data to inform future instruction.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the MTSS (multi‑tiered system of support) team to discuss student progress and plan interventions.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with recess, lunch, dismissal and arrival duties.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student and employee related information.
