In-Person Baccalaureate Adjunct Faculty in Statistics Environmental Professionals

Overview

Unity Environmental University at Pineland is seeking an instructor to teach Analytics for Environmental Professionals courses in the in‑person baccalaureate program. Courses are hosted on the Pineland Farms campus in New Gloucester, Maine, and consist of five‑week terms with eight terms per year.

• Facilitate engagement in 5‑week baccalaureate‑level courses focusing on sampling design, probability, statistical distributions, data characterization, and common approaches to statistical modeling with an emphasis on regression and correlation, and evaluation of differences among sampled populations.
• Teach in‑person classes averaging 20 students per course.
• Provide timely feedback, engage students in classroom activities, and remain responsive to student inquiries.

• Terminal degree in the discipline or related field, or a master’s degree with substantial professional experience.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Proficiency with personal computer and related software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Effective written and oral communication using e‑mail and digital conferencing tools.
• Personal commitment to Unity’s environmental focus and mission.

• Experience teaching in‑person at the postsecondary level.
• Experience using Canvas or other Learning Management System to facilitate learning.
