Camden Hills Regional High School is a state-of-the-art, energy efficient facility featuring a wind turbine and solar panels. It serves approximately 700 students in grades 9–12 and offers a broad array of educational experiences. The school is committed to hiring and retaining a high‑quality, diverse staff.

Zenith is an off‑site Alternative Education program that provides alternative learners with a creatively individualized educational environment. The program fosters respect for self, others, and the community through experiential, community‑based learning, student independence, and responsibility. The role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team that continually seeks innovative strategies to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of its students.

• Teach physical, Earth, and/or life sciences as well as algebra, geometry, and/or financial literacy courses.
• Contribute to a project‑based learning environment.
• Manage classroom dynamics to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment.
• Evaluate student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, peers, parents, and administrators.
• Support students’ development of academic, organizational, and self‑advocacy skills.

• Knowledge of diverse learning and developmental processes.
• Ability to engage with students, families, colleagues, and the community to support student learning and well‑being.
• Adaptability to varying student needs.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.

• Background check, including fingerprinting.
• Maine teaching certification with endorsement in Mathematics (300), Physical Science (350), and/or Life Science (395) for grades 7–12, or evidence of Maine certification eligibility.

• Base salary starting at $52,686 (Step B‑0) annually, with potential increases based on experience.
