Camp Counselor
- Monks Sports Camp

Saint Joseph's College of Maine is accepting applications for the position of Camp Counselor
- Monks Sports Camp!

Dates of Monks Sports Camp:

Session I:
Monday, July 27th
- Thursday, July 30th

Session II:
Monday, August 3rd
- Thursday, August 6th.

Duties associated with position:

Group supervision of campers

Help campers plan and carry out projects and activities such as sports and games

Promote and encourage camper participation in activities

Enforce camp rules and regulations and ensures safety in the recreational facilities

Demonstrates use of recreational equipment and teaches participants the principles, techniques, and safety procedures for each activity

Work with the camp directors and other camp staff to handle challenges with facilities, programs and campers

Help each participant meet the goals established by the camp for camper development

Encourage respect for personal property, camp equipment, and facilities

Required skills:

Experience in working with adolescents in a group setting

Ability to learn and enforce the camps safety and operating rules

Current CPR/First Aid, AED certification preferred

Employees will require additional trainings:

Bloodborne Pathogens & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Working conditions in hot & cold environments

Number of hours per week anticipated: up to 40 hours each week of camp.

Time requirements:
Sunday before camp start, 7:00p-8:30a AND Monday through Friday 8:00a-5:00p.
