Bus Aide

RSU 23 is a 700 student, three-school district seeking multiple Bus Aides for the  school year. This job assignment is being internally advertised for hourly, support staff scheduled for less than 40 hours per week. The successful candidate should possess the following:

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Citizenship, residency or work visa
• Maine Department of Education CHRC (Criminal History Record Check)

QUALIFICATIONS /

JOB SUMMARY:

• Supervise students on bus, including one-on-one support when needed
• Ensure all students are properly secured with seat belts/wheelchairs
• Assist Bus Driver in maintaining good student conduct
• Oversee safe and orderly boarding and exiting
• Perform other assigned duties as needed
