About the Position:
Our Special Purpose Preschool in Arundel, Maine is seeking dedicated and compassionate Educational Technicians / School-Based Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) to support young children ages 3–5 with developmental and behavioral needs. This role provides hands-on classroom and one-on-one support using evidence-based behavioral and educational strategies.
Educational Technicians work under the supervision of certified Special Education Teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and play a critical role in preparing children for kindergarten and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:
Support students individually or in small groups within a center-based preschool program
Implement educational and behavioral plans developed by the teaching and clinical team
Reinforce skills and learning introduced by classroom teachers
Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and daily routines
Model positive communication, behavior, and social skills
Collect observational data and contribute to student progress documentation
Maintain confidentiality of all student and staff information
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators and clinicians
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree OR a minimum of 90 college credits required
(90 credits required to qualify for Ed Tech III certification)
Ability to obtain and maintain Educational Technician authorization through the Maine Department of Education
Willingness to complete BHP and/or RBT training (provided by employer)
Successful completion of criminal background check, fingerprinting, and reference checks
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social services, or a related field
Experience working with young children or individuals with developmental disabilities
Prior Educational Technician, BHP, or ABA experience
