The applicant is expected to contribute to the institution's development work in research and teaching.

Applicants who have not completed a doctoral degree in statistics must have documented skill that clearly strengthens the statistical competence.

The applicant should have documented ability to use English in speech and writing at a professional level. This is shown, for example, by documented experience of teaching in English or certificates of language skills corresponding to at least B2 level (CEFR).

The applicant should have the ability to collaborate as well as the ability and suitability otherwise needed to carry out the duties well.

Assessment Criteria

Special and equal weight is placed on pedagogical and scientific skill within the subject area of statistics or another related subject. The skill should be well documented in a way that makes it possible to assess the quality of the pedagogical activity.

Great weight is placed on:

  • documented experience of applying statistics in other subject areas.

Meritorious is higher education pedagogical training of at least 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.

About the Position

The position is for an indefinite period, full-time, and the start date is agreed upon.

The position includes competence and research time according to the current terms of employment agreement.

Applicants who lack higher education pedagogical training of at least 15 higher education credits and who are not deemed to have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way should undergo such training during the first two years of employment.

Additional Information
