This contract opportunity, set to begin at the end of August 2026 and running through mid-June 2027, allows you to work with a dedicated caseload of 30 students, leveraging your expertise in early childhood special education. Qualifications:- Current and valid Special Education (SPED) license in Maine is required
- Experience in elementary education, ideally with K-3rd grade students
- Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative approach to working with general education staff, parents, and support teams
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of a K-3 caseload
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom for young learners with diverse abilities
- Manage and maintain accurate documentation for IEPs and student progress
- Collaborate with families, support staff, and administrators to develop comprehensive learning plans
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth in every student
- Provide modifications and accommodations to support educational access and success
This full-time, five-day-per-week role offers 37.5 hours of meaningful interaction and growth each week.
