Location: Unity
RSU 3 is seeking a part-time (4/5) Physical Education/Health teacher to serve students in grades K–5 across three elementary schools. This position focuses on teaching physical education and basic health concepts, promoting active lifestyles, and supporting student wellness.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching PE and Health classes at multiple elementary schools.
- Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborating with staff to support student development and wellness.
- Traveling between school sites on a regular schedule.
Requirements:
- Maine certification in PE (510), or eligibility for conditional certification.
- CHRC (criminal history records check) required or ability to obtain upon employment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
