Overview
Help Us Grow Impactful Programs for Students with Autism & Behavioral Needs. Good Will-Hinckley (GWH) believes every student deserves access to engaging, meaningful learning opportunities. We are expanding our Glenn Stratton Learning Center programming for students with autism and behavioral needs, creating personalized pathways for growth, communication, independence, and success. We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to join our GWH team.
This is a Monday – Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm for the 2026/2027 school year. Working 185 Academic days.

The Special Education Teacher in the Glenn Stratton Learning Center program provides direct academic and behavioral instruction to students as part of a team-based approach to educational programming for students with autism and behavioral needs.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree
- Maine Department of Education (282) Special Education Certification appropriate to teaching position.
- Certification as a Behavioral Health Professional or willing to obtain BHP
- Experience working with students who demonstrate significant behavioral, social, and emotional difficulties
- Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
- Satisfactory references and background check
- Valid Driver’s License
- Wage range $45,000 - $58,000
- EPL and sick time
