Boothbay Region Elementary School – Assistant Principal – Anticipated Opening
Boothbay Region Elementary School (BRES) is located in scenic Mid‑Coast Maine and serves roughly 300 students in grades PreK–8. We have an opening for an assistant principal who will be an integral member of the BRES team and the CSD administrative team. The role of the assistant principal will include responsibilities with the social/emotional/behavioral learning of students as well as instructional leadership capabilities through the role of supervisor and evaluator.
Specifically, this assignment will include:
- Supporting a comprehensive social/emotional/behavioral school‑wide system
- Assisting students in overcoming behavior or social problems in a positive manner that improves student learning and personal progress
- Conducting classroom observations and providing meaningful feedback to improve classroom instruction, management, and pedagogy
- Managing the ordering of curriculum and instructional materials across the school
- School and district state assessment coordinator
- Assisting with the development of professional development, including PBIS school coordination and leadership
A successful candidate will be passionate about children and learning, committed to their professional development, be a forward thinker, have a great sense of humor, and have Maine DOE Assistant Building Administration Certificate (045).
This position is an anticipated opening, with a flexible start date to be mutually agreed upon prior to the beginning of the school year in late August.

Salary range for this position is $80,000–$92,000 based on experience.
