As a school librarian, you are responsible for running the school library and developing its activities. We want the school library to have a clear educational function whose main task is to, through collaboration with teachers, contribute to strengthening students' linguistic abilities and to enhance students' reading engagement and reading skills.

As a school librarian, you also work pedagogically with media and information literacy and general digital competence. You thus support the school in source-critical teaching.

You work to promote reading both in collaboration with the school's staff and on your own. You plan and conduct teaching and guide students both in the library and in the classroom. You take an active part in the systematic quality work of the school area in order to, among other things, strengthen students' linguistic competence.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for the school library room and work to make the library a learning environment that is socially, pedagogically, and physically accessible.

Your competence and experience

We want you to be trained as a school librarian. It is meritorious if you have a few years of experience from the profession, but it is not a requirement. It is important that you are communicative and have an easy time creating good relationships with students and staff. Other qualities that we consider important are that you are:

The position is a total of 40% and we are four schools:
Psychology Gymnasium, Oden Gymnasium, Care and Welfare Gymnasium, and Värmdö Technical Gymnasium that wish to share the position, with approximately 10% each. All schools are part of the Cedergrenska AB educational group.

Briefly about our schools:

Psychology Gymnasium is a small, family-like school in the heart of Solna with about 170 students. It is easily accessible by bus that goes directly from Odenplan. The school's pedagogical theory is based on a varied teaching, alternating between subject integration, traditional teaching, and immersive pedagogy. An active learning with the motto "learning by doing", in line with Dewey's pedagogy. The school offers Social Science Programs with a behavioral science profile in criminology, Economics Program with a legal profile in criminology, Social Science Program with a behavioral science profile, and theater.

Värmdö Technical Gymnasium is located in fresh premises in Gustavsberg. The school is located in a new residential area near Gustavsberg's harbor. It is easily accessible by bus 474 from Slussen in less than 25 minutes. The school is primarily a vocational high school with its own workshops in electrical, vehicle, plumbing, and construction. We also have a technology program focused on game and app development.

VTG is a small and family-like school with about 170 students.

Oden Gymnasium is located near the beautiful Vinterviken at Örnsberg subway station. Oden Gymnasium offers three national high school programs of which two are college preparatory and one is vocational preparatory, as well as the Introduction Program. We have bright and spacious rooms with many group rooms, fresh classrooms, a newly furnished hairdressing salon, and a stylist room.

Care and Welfare Gymnasium is a small and family-like school in the heart of Sollentuna with good communications. The school is perfect for those who dream of becoming a nurse, physiotherapist, psychologist, social worker, or similar.
