Position Overview
The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent candidates for the position of Grades 3-6 Social Skills Teacher at Paris Elementary School. This position focuses on functional skill development. Paris Elementary School is located in South Paris and serves approximately 400 students in grades PreK-6.
Location and ReportingParis Elementary School, South Paris. Reports to Building Principal/Director of Student Services.
Schedule and CompensationWork Schedule:
180 days contract.
Salary: $45,000.00 - $79,539.70 (SY25/26).
- Base salary for Social Skills Teachers plus an annual supplemental stipend of $3,400.
- Other supplemental stipends for similar positions:
Day Treatment Teachers - $4,500;
Functional Life Skills Teachers - $4,400;
Resource Room Teachers - $2,000;
Social Workers - $4,450;
Applied Academics Teachers - $4,000.
Candidates must be certified (282) Special Education in Maine.

- Instill problem-solving and critical thinking as a “new basics” for learning across all grade levels;
- Deliver strong literacy instruction across content areas;
- Help students develop skills to apply, interpret, analyze, and evaluate the vast, ever-expanding amount of information;
- Employ effective lesson design by adjusting to students’ personal learning needs and preferences, including appropriate technology applications.
