We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Witham for a compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you'll make a real difference to the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those who have experienced trauma and adversity.
Working closely with teachers, the SENCo and senior leadership team, you'll provide classroom, one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions
- Encourage positive behaviour, wellbeing and emotional resilience
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and their families
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and essential life skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team
- Promote safeguarding, inclusion and high expectations for every pupil
About You

You’ll also have:
- Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
Experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH or trauma-informed practice is desirable but not essential. Applications are welcomed from candidates with backgrounds in education, care, youth work or support work.

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
