Position starts: August 2026

The Lisbon School Department is seeking a highly qualified, certified K‑8 music teacher. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with a district music department and be student‑centered with a strong knowledge of content, including best practices in grades 4‑8 music instruction, an understanding of standards‑based assessment, the ability to use technology in instruction, and the willingness to support the mission of the school department.

• Facilitate after‑school band instruction (grades 4‑8) and beginning choral instruction (grades 4‑5) for an additional stipend.

Qualifications:

• Certified K‑8 music teacher.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with district music staff.
• Student‑centered instructional approach with strong content knowledge.
• Knowledge of best practices in grades 4‑8 music instruction.
• Understanding of standards‑based assessment.
• Proficiency in using technology in instruction.
• Commitment to supporting the school department’s mission.
