Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to support students in a Resource Room setting at New Suncook School in Lovell, Maine for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is skilled in supporting diverse learning needs and experienced in working with students who demonstrate behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing individualized instruction and fostering academic growth in a supportive learning environment.

• Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services in a resource room setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Implement effective classroom management and behavioral support strategies
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Support students in achieving academic, social, and behavioral goals

• Maine 282 Special Education Teacher Certification required
• Experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges required
• Experience teaching reading and mathematics preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families
