Overview

Interim Grade 2 Teacher role at Ella Lewis School for the  school year. Ella Lewis is in Steuben, a small coastal town, with a strong school culture and community support. The candidate should have a strong background in both literacy and mathematics and enjoy working with a team, using data to inform instruction, and communicating effectively with families and students. The successful candidate will hold or be eligible for Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification #020 General K-8 or 029 (K-3) Endorsement and must hold a current MDOE Criminal History Records Check.

• Deliver high-quality literacy and mathematics instruction for Grade 2 students.
• Collaborate with the grade-level team to plan instruction and use data to inform instructional decisions.
• Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom with clear expectations and effective behavior management.
• Communicate progress and outcomes with students, families, and school staff as appropriate.

• Hold or be eligible for Maine DOE Teacher Certification #020 General K-8 or #029 (K-3) Endorsement.
• Current Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check.
• Strong background in literacy and mathematics instruction.
