Overview

MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic Elementary Teacher Grade 3 to join the instructional staff at Edna Libby School
, Standish, Maine, for the  school year. The successful candidate will create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with students; motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child; and respond to inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.

• Create a flexible instructional program and a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Establish effective rapport with students and colleagues.
• Motivate students to develop positive attitudes and knowledge to support meaningful learning.
• Respond to inquiries from parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.

• Degree(s) required in major area of study;
  Maine Department of Education certification with a #020 endorsement.
• Experience related to instructing students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned.
• Demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues.
• Evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.

• Position will be filled when a successful candidate is found.
• Salaries and benefits may be found on the District website in the Agreement between the MSAD 6 Board of Directors and the Saco Valley Teachers Association.
• Salary scale based on Bachelor s degree.
