Winslow Junior High School is seeking a special education teacher with a strong background in literacy and mathematics to teach students in our 7/8th grade resource room program, beginning August 2026.

• Case manage, prepare and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for junior high level students.
• Direct and supervise the work of Educational Technicians who assist in implementing individualized special education programming.
• Deliver reading, writing, mathematics, social skill and functional skill instruction.
• Work as a team player willing to collaborate with others to benefit students.
• Collaborate and consult with general school personnel regarding the implementation of the IEPs and special educational services.
• Maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with school district regulations and legal requirements.

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in the appropriate field.
• Valid teaching certification (282 endorsement).
• Experience in educating special needs students.
• Proven effective classroom and student behavior management skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of state, local and federal regulations and policies affecting special education.

All School employees are required to have Fingerprint (CHRC) Certification.
