The Winslow School Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our exceptional team supporting students with autism. We are an inclusive district committed to ensuring that every learner is valued, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Special Education Teacher – Autism Program
Location:
Winslow School Department
- Providing direct instruction and specialized programming for students with autism.
- Developing, writing, and implementing high-quality Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to guide instruction and monitor student progress.
- Creating and implementing effective Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) that reflect evidence-based practices.
- Collaborating with Ed Techs, related service providers, general education teachers, and administrators.
- Communicating effectively with families and team members to ensure consistency and support across settings.
- Contributing to an inclusive, student-centered environment that honors diverse learning needs.
- Valid Maine teacher certification (282 or 286 required).
- Experience working with students with autism preferred.
- Strong skills in data collection, IEP development, and behavioral programming.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to inclusive practices and positive behavioral supports.
