K-5 Special Education Teacher - Mountain View School - Rsu

Overview

The Special Education team is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to work collaboratively with our special and general education team members to provide specialized academic instruction to students with learning disabilities and/or multiple needs. The preferred applicant will have experience working with students with emotional or behavioral needs and evidence of differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.

• Provide specialized academic instruction to students with learning disabilities and/or multiple needs.
• Collaborate with special and general education team members to plan and implement instructional strategies.
• Differentiates instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.

• Maine Department of Education K-8 Special Education Teacher certificate (#282 or #282B) is preferable; related certifications or the ability to obtain certification may be considered for the right applicant.
• CHRC required.
• Experience working with students with emotional or behavioral needs is preferred.
