Early Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher
Location:
Sacopee Valley Elementary School, Hiram, Maine.
We are hiring a new self-contained preschool/early elementary teacher to support students with diverse developmental, functional, communication, and behavioral needs. The teacher will provide individualized instruction, collaborate with related service providers, educational technicians, and families, and support each child’s growth and development.
Ideal Candidate Will Have- Knowledge of early childhood development, behavioral supports, and functional life skills instruction.
- Experience developing and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons that support functional, social-emotional, communication, and early academic skills.
- Ability to create a structured classroom environment that supports student regulation, engagement, and independence.
- Ability to collect and utilize academic and behavioral data to drive instruction and daily living skills curriculum.
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with educational technicians.
- Current Maine Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification (282).
