Required for both full-summer and single-session staff

Some staff, particularly returners, may work for only 1 session.

We want role model staff members who hold themselves to a high standard both on and off duty, and strive to positively impact not only the people they serve, but the staff they work beside.

I have been truly blessed that my years working at Camp Bishopswood have provided me with coping and behavior management skills that have made my transition from student to educator much easier for me than some of my classmates.

About the Leadership Team Bishopswood’s Leadership Team is made up of experienced staff who take on additional responsibility for supporting our summer programs, mentoring other counselors, and maintaining a safe, positive environment for all campers. Members of this team model our camp values, help coordinate daily operations, and work closely with the Director and Assistant Director to make sure each week runs smoothly.

Salary Range: $5,000 – $7,000

Program Director for Villages:
Salary Range: $5,000 – $7,000

Village Leader and Department Head: $4,750 - $5,500

Village Leader & Program Specialists:
Salary Range: $4,750 – $5,500

Department Head & Program Specialists:
Salary Range: $4,750 – $5,500

Waterfront Director:
Salary Range: $4,000 – $5,000

CIT Trainer:
Salary Range: $4,000 – $6,000

Senior Counselor / Activity Leader Salary: $3,500

Junior Counselor / Activity Leader Salary: $3,300

Department Heads Salary Range:
An additional $250-$1,000 in addition to your counselor salary.

Groundskeeper/Camp Grandparent Salary Range:
Volunteer

Resident Nurse Salary Range:
Negotiable

Health Care Assistant/Student Nurse Salary: $3,400-$4,000, Room and Board or Tuition Exchange

Returning Staff Recognition: $100/summer

CIT Graduate: $200

Life Guard Training: $250

Department Head Add-On: $250+

Spring/Fall Work: $300/week

Rowing Camp: $300-$500

Day Camp Add-On: $500-$750
