Located a ? mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, RSU#23 is a 675 student district seeking candidates for Educator Apprentice positions. This 18-month apprenticeship program will provide paid, on-the-job training and 60-college credits at no cost to the student. Apprentices will work full-time as paid/benefited employees in a one of our schools alongside a mentor. In addition to working, apprentices will receive blended classroom and online instruction at YCCC with an emphasis on Special Education.

ORIENTATION DAY August 18, 2026 at YCCC Wells, ME Campus
Certification Requirements- Valid Maine DOE Educational Technician I Authorization certification
- Valid Maine DOE Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
- Possess strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Interest in supporting students with various learning styles and needs
- Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of technology
- Willingness to participate in ongoing in-service training
- Interest in participating in the school community outside of the classroom
PAY RATE: $18.88-$22.52
- Starting placement within the Collective Bargaining Agreement step scale is determined by prior credited experience.
