Overview

Washington Academy is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of English Residential Faculty
.

This is an eleven-month position for individuals wishing to work and live in a private secondary school setting. Residential Faculty will teach classes, live and work as part of our residential staff, and coach or advise a club, activity or sport. The residential portion has summer responsibilities with our summer program and will be discussed in the interview.

• Teach classes as part of the regular academic program.
• Live and work as part of the residential staff.
• Coach or advise a club, activity, or sport.
• participate in the summer program; summer responsibilities will be discussed during the interview.

• Health insurance.
• Dorm housing and all meals.
• Internet access and opportunity to travel on school trips.
• College course reimbursement.
• Opportunity to participate in a teacher orientation and training program and comprehensive professional development opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Be certified in Maine or be willing to work toward certification in Maine.
• Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) through the Maine Department of Education.
