The Education Technician III is an important member of the educational team, working with classroom teachers, special educators, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success. The Education Technician III is an important member of the educational team, working with classroom teachers, special educators, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success. This position provides instructional and behavioral support across all settings while helping implement interventions and curriculum aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). The Education Technician III plays an active role in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can grow and succeed.
YouWill Need To
- Collaborate with teachers and the educational team to implement individualized instruction, curriculum, and interventions aligned with students' IEP goals.
- Support students across a variety of educational settings, including general education classrooms, Resource Room, and Life Skills programs.
- Carry out assigned responsibilities that promote student learning, independence, communication, and social-emotional development.
- Work alongside teachers and related service providers to prepare materials, implement lesson plans, monitor student progress, and adjust supports as directed.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and data collection to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
- Assist in implementing behavior support plans and positive behavioral interventions as developed by the educational team.
- Provide supervision and support during instructional and non-instructional activities as needed.
- Transport students during the school day when needed.
- Minimum of 90 college credits required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must meet Maine certification requirements for an Education Technician III.
