Preferred Qualifications
RSU 64 is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Special Education Teacher at Central High School. This position is a one year position and will begin with the school year. The successful applicant will hold a current Maine DOE Certification #282 - Teacher of Children with Disabilities and demonstrate evidence of a current CHRC. Preferred qualifications include:
- Prior successful experience teaching Special Education students at the high school level
- Demonstrated ability to use technology with state reporting formats
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with identified students
- a strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics
Salary and benefits are dependent upon education and experience and are reflected in the Negotiated Agreement. The salary range is $49,823 - $83,054.
