RSU 64 is seeking a qualified and passionate candidate to join its administrative team as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Central High School beginning immediately or when a preferred candidate is found. RSU 64 serves students in five Maine towns:
Bradford, Corinth, Hudson, Kenduskeag, and Stetson. Central High School has an average enrollment of 275 students in grades 9-12. The Assistant Principal/Athletic Director fills a key role in leading the professional and support staff in their support of students and in the pursuit of the school's vision and mission.
Candidates must have knowledge of, diverse experience in, and commitment to, effective practice to support high achievement. They must also be versed, and preferably have experience in, restorative justice, behavior management, attendance, instructional leadership, and supervision. In addition, the successful candidate will work and communicate effectively with students, families, and school faculty and staff and use technology to support and communicate student and professional learning.
The assistant principal is an active member of the district administrative team and supports school-wide initiatives and goals.
The Athletic Director portion of this position is responsible for the successful implementation and facilitation of the school's interscholastic athletic program. The successful candidate must have knowledge and experience in sport and be committed to supporting the district's high school athletes and coaches.
Maine Building Administrator (040) or Assistant Building Administrator (045) certification and Athletic Director (215) or eligible for conditional certificates are required. A Maine criminal history record check (CHRC) is also required.
The salary range for this position is: $95,000 - $98,500.
