Are you passionate about helping children succeed in school and life? The Hermon School Department is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Educational Technician to join our PreK-4 special education team.
You’ll work closely with Special Education Teachers, related service providers, and BCBA to provide essential academic and behavioral support-helping every student reach their full potential. What You'll Do as an Ed Tech- Support students in reaching behavioral, academic, and social goals
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with communication, social skills, and safety instruction
- Implement students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Keep accurate daily documentation and progress notes
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families
- Include work before and/or after regular school hours as part of special transportation responsibilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 60 college credit hours from an accredited postsecondary institution.
- Maine DOE CHRC (Criminal History Record Check)
- Valid Ed Tech II Authorization from the Maine Department of Education
Position will remain open until a qualified candidate is found.
Pay per negotiated contract, experience certification level.
