Are you passionate about helping children succeed in school and life? The Hermon School Department is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Educational Technician to join our PreK–4 special education team.
You’ll work closely with Special Education Teachers, related service providers, and BCBA to provide essential academic and behavioral support—helping every student reach their full potential. - Support students in reaching behavioral, academic, and social goals
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with communication, social skills, and safety instruction
- Implement students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Keep accurate daily documentation and progress notes
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families
- Include work before and/or after regular school hours as part of special transportation responsibilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 60 college credit hours from an accredited postsecondary institution.
- Maine DOE CHRC (Criminal History Record Check)
- Valid Ed Tech II Authorization from the Maine Department of Education
Position will remain open until a qualified candidate is found.
Pay per negotiated contract, experience certification level.
