Houlton Middle High School is seeking an engaging, proactive Educational Technician II to lead our Learning Center. This position goes beyond traditional study hall monitoring—you will actively coordinate with classroom teachers to track upcoming assignments, understand curriculum goals, and guide students toward academic success. You will create a structured, supportive environment where students stay on task, organize their workload, and get targeted help with their daily homework.

Houlton Middle High School is seeking an engaging, proactive Educational Technician II to lead our Learning Center. Qualifications: State of Maine Educational Technician II certification or higher.

Responsibilities Include

  • Proactively liaise with classroom teachers to know what assignments, projects, and homework students need to complete.
  • Work directly with students to reinforce concepts previously taught in class, and guide them through daily assignments.
  • Maintain an organized, productive environment; help students prioritize tasks, manage their time, and develop sound study habits.
  • Exercise non-instructional supervisory duties as needed; maintain absolute student confidentiality and participate in professional development.
