Blue Hill Consolidated School is seeking a passionate and energetic educator to join our school. This position will be filled when a suitable candidate is found and offers the chance to work closely with a collaborative team of teachers, staff, and students in a vibrant school community. As part of our K-2 team, the successful candidate will teach engaging, rigorous, and creative lessons for 2nd graders.

- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Grade 2 standards.
- Cultivate a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.
- Assess student learning, provide meaningful feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to support all learners through MTSS practices.
- Partner with colleagues across disciplines to create integrated, enriching learning experiences.
- Maintain consistent communication with parents/guardians and contribute to the positive culture of the school.
- Engage in professional growth opportunities and collaborative school initiatives.
- Hold a valid Maine teacher certification (or be eligible for a conditional license).
- Possess a current Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC/fingerprinting).
- Demonstrate a love of teaching, strong classroom management, and creativity in lesson design.
- Bring a collaborative spirit, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student success.
The salary range is $53,860 to $73,060.
