Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

12 part-time faculty positions for multiple course designers for the PhD program. Seeking faculty with experience and expertise in designing the following courses:

  • Research Practicum I (3 credits)
  • Measurement in Health & Behavior Sciences (3 credits)
  • Conceptual Models & Frameworks in Nursing Science (3 credits)
  • Research Practicum II (3 credits)
  • Introduction to Scholarly Writing (1 credit)
  • NUR 699 - Dissertation Research (3 credits)

The University of Maine School of Nursing is seeking applicants for up to 12 part‑time faculty positions to support the design and development of courses for its synchronous PhD in Nursing program. Applicants must hold a Ph.D and MSN and have relevant teaching and professional expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Research Practicum I
  • Measurement in Health and Behavioral Sciences
  • Conceptual Models and Frameworks in Nursing Science
  • Research Practicum II
  • Introduction to Scholarly Writing and Dissertation Research

Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in designing and teaching high‑quality online courses and in conducting research. Faculty will collaborate with the University’s Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning and receive support from graduate nursing students throughout the development process. All courses will follow a consistent program template, be designed according to evidence‑based practices for online graduate education, and use current communication and collaboration technologies established at the university.
