Lake Region & Fryeburg area Adult Education is seeking a part-time ELA Instructor. We are looking for a certified English Language Arts Teacher (Adult Ed or 9-12 certification). Position includes day and some evening hours. Position is based in Naples and includes some regular hours in Fryeburg.

Job Responsibilities:

Develops and delivers curriculum form basic literacy level through high school completion and college preparation level. Works collaboratively with staff and other teachers to provide optimal learning experience for learners with diverse needs and backgrounds. Provides instruction in English, and possibly other content areas with appropriate qualifications.

Schedule:

Up to 24 hours per week, 46 weeks.

Compensation: $32 per hour.

• Required Qualifications:
  
  Possesses or can demonstrate eligibility for a Maine Teaching Certificate (100 English Language Arts, Adult Ed or 9-12).
  
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience teaching academic subjects to adult learners. Familiarity with content standards and proficiency-based instruction. Knowledge of modern office technology and software, including learning management systems and student information systems. Self-driven, positive, creative, systems thinker, and passionate about education.
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
