Director Psychological Services Center

The Department of Psychology at the University of Maine invites applications for the Director of the Psychological Services Center. This is a one-year, fixed-length, part-time, professional position with administrative and supervisory responsibilities. The position is in-person at the University of Maine in Orono.

This position provides unique opportunities for a clinical psychologist interested in a career that combines leadership and mentorship.
Typical hiring range for this fixed-length, part-time (0.50 FTE) position is $39,000 to $43,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Director is responsible for administration and leadership of Psychological Services Center (PSC), the in-house training clinic for the doctoral program in clinical psychology. program has enjoyed continuous APA accreditation since 1975 and is the only accredited clinical psychology program in the state.

Every student in the doctoral program starts their practicum training at the PSC, under close supervision of the Director and clinical supervisors. Students carry PSC cases throughout their training.

The Director of the PSC works closely with the other clinical faculty to ensure that students’ clinical experiences align with the program’s mission and values.
