- Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple process steps spanning the full value stream of the parts; represent the organization related to MRL execution; develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry‑standard best practices.
- Responsible for manufacturing risk identification and mitigation to achieve superior quality performance; identify and implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.
- Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions on non‑conforming product.
- Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization through innovative solutions.
- Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation of MRL gate advancements; use effective scorecards and metrics to ensure progress; lead projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance.
- Domestic travel up to 10%.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (aerospace, industrial, mechanical, manufacturing or similar) and 2 or more years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing operations environment, or a Master’s degree in Engineering and minimum 1 year of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Hold a current U.S. government issued Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain one.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- CORE/Six Sigma Practitioner/professional certification.
- Understanding of continuous improvement concepts (DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.) and demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities (specifically 5‑axis milling and turning).
- Proficiency with Minitab and other statistical software.
- Proficient in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.
